Rebecca Taichman Wins Best Director of a Play for “Indecent”!

Finally! A Big Win for the great “Indecent”! Rebecca Taishmann wins Best Director of a Play! She turns out to be totally loopy and “in total shock” as she repeated over and over again.
Best Director for a Musical went to Christopher Ashley who was equally surprised. But articulate and gracious for “Come From Away.”
August Wilson’s “Jitney” wins Best Revival of a Play, and it should’ve it was excellent. Lynne Meadow, Artistic Director of the Manhattan Theater Company which presented “Jitney” AND “Little Foxes” this season.

A rousing, full-throated, full-throttle mélange of several numbers from “Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812” lit up the stage and the Radio City Music Hall orchestra, as the nimble cast performed all over the place as they do eight times a week at the Imperial. I’ve seen it FOUR TIMES! Something I never do.

Josh Groban, in magnificent voice, belted out several section of his different numbers and Lucas Steele sang and danced with that amazing flying overcoat, fiddling madly all the while on that magic violin of his.

And sadly, so far, “Natasha, Pierre..” has only won one award, Best Set Design of a Musical.
