a.k.a. "The Oscar Messenger"

Dear Cineastes, dear readers, dear lovers of theater, my new play “A Hycacinth Coat and a Chartreuse Hat” is being given its’ first staged reading the Actor’s Temple on Monday night at 7pm. W.47th, between 8th and 9th in the middle of the block, and it’s free! Come one, come all!

I know it’s short notice, but if you’re a facebook friend, you know, and if you follow my Stephen Holt Show fan page on Facebook, you’ll know.

And I will be there in person with an incredibly talented cast. It’s not advertised anywhere(except as an “Event” on Facebook.) so this is your chance to see it first, before admission is not free anymore.

I hope it progresses from here of course. It’s one night only and I can’t tell you how many years in the making. A lot. But it’s finally going to enter the universe or the universal consciousness. Or theater history. Or…

well, fingers crossed.

Oh, and I’m directing it, too. Which is why I haven’t been posting as much as I’d like to. Plus Verizon Internet problems etec.
