a.k.a. "The Oscar Messenger"

Well, I know officially hate Jennifer Lawrence. No. Not really but isn’t she a tad OVER awarded at this point? As charming as she was and funny in “American Hustle,” she couldn’t hold a candle to Lupita Nyong’O in “12 Years a Slave.” Grrrr…I don’t know if I can handle this. It looks like it’s going to be an “American Hustle” sweep. I wonder if my favorite film “12 Years a Slave” is going to win ANYthing tonight. Lupita was on the Red Carpet wearing a bright blood red caped gown. She looked so beautiful. And Jennifer Lawrence looked like she was wearing an over-sized garbage bag. She was shaking when she won, so much so that she could barely crack wise, her specialty. At least she didn’t fall down when she went up the stairs. Nor did her HUGE white tulle-like dress rip on her way to the podium. She joked “I’m shaking so much. Don’t do this me again!”

Does this mean she’s going to with Oscar for Best Supporting Actress? She effusively thanked “her director” of “American Hustle” and “Silver Linings Playbook” for “changing her life” and then forgot to mention his name. It’s David O. Russell, d’oh. But at least the camera was on his face, waiting for her to thank him by name, which she never did.
This was followed by a very funny Jacqueline Bisset win for Best Supporting Actress in a TV series, mini-series or movie made for TV. She was seated so far away it to FOREVAH to get to the stage. She finally entered via the back-stage area, and entered right ON to the stage, then fell apart entirely and was so surprised she could barely get any words out.
